Ogden Early Hours

This birding lark is hard work at the poor weather and the
bird life being quiet, went for a walk around Ogden and had
a stroll up to back lane  1 Goldeneye was on the water and the
rest were Mallards and BHGulls and Common Gulls , around
the lake was quiet 4 Robins, 2 Dunnocks, 3 Blackbirds then up
to Back lane which proved a little better with 4 Fieldfare, 3 Wood
Pigeon, 2 Mistle Thrush and a singing Chiff Chaff, and a Brown Hare
in one of the fields which was nice to see.

Roper Lane had nothing in the fields and Raggalds flood had just a
few gulls and the garden had 12+ Goldfinch, 1 Blue Tit and lots of
Crows and Gulls in the back field.

I then decided to venture further afield and went over to Rodley
Nature Reserve which has took a beating from the recent flooding
and todays constant rain won't of helped even the lakes were quieter
than usual but I did get to see my 1st Bittern even if it was just a glimpse
before it snook back into the reeds.
