Cold Edge & Castle Carr Walk

Had  a walk around Cold Edge Dams and Castle Carr Rd
today, got up to Cold Edge and no parking allowed anymore
so drove up to the boat lake to see what was about, lots of
Stonechats but too fast to get a pic, Meadow Pipits and a
Oystercatcher were seen and a few random Emu's, I then
set off to Wainstalls to park up and have a walk around well
that was after I took a wrong turning and got lost and ended
up in a farmers driveway, eventually got to Wainstall's and
the first birds I saw and heard were Curlew which was then
followed by a soaring Buzzard so a good start to the walk,
also a Little Owl was on a large stone, up at the Dam were
2 Goldeneye, 4 Tufted Duck, a GreyHeron, a Kestrel hunting
and a Buzzard flew low over the lake, a couple of Pipits were
dancing between the rocks which I was hoping was a Rock
Pipit but now believe it was a Meadow Pipit after a natter  to
Dave.S., I then went to look at the geese 60+ Canada's,
2 Greylags and single Barnacle were in the field. Oh and a
Skylark flushed while walking back to the car, and some
Frogspawn.

Garden had Robin, Dunnock, Gold & Bullfinch, Blackbirds
still fighting and 5 Starling.

Some good birds there Dave.
Looks like you had a good outing.
Like the Buzzard and Skylark shots - not easy to photo.
