Withens & Fly Flatts tour

Had a wander up Withens & Fly Flats today but was fairly
quiet, was nice to see DS up there, thought I'd seen a Whimbrel
but turned out to be a juvenile Curlew, oh well better look next time.
3 Little Owl , 2 Kestrel, 2 Meadow Pipits, a few Swallows flying about,
1 Linnet, 6 Blackbird all feeding young was surprised to see them that
high up on the moors and a few House Sparrows and a Stoat running
through the long grass, 2 Bullfinch in my garden which haven't been
for a long while, so that was pleasing, 12 Lapwing, 8 Canada's.

Soil Hill Ghost Town

Took a walk up to Soil Hill at about 6pm to 7pm and
was very quiet, no song and not many birds.
I'll blame on the strong blustery wind that was up there.

Garden had Chaff, Green and Goldfinch, Jackdaws &
Magpies, Collared Doves and Wood Pigeon, GSW.

for good snaps, 15 Godwits, 1 Marsh Harrier at a distance but still
looked great, 1 Goshawk being mobbed by Swallows, 6 Linnets,
