Barn Owl Bonanza

      Had a great day out on Wednesday watching the Barn Owls also seen

      were Sparrowhawk, Curlew, Oystercatcher, Linnet, Stonechat, Willow Warbler, 

      Cuckoo, Red Kite. Meadow Pipit, Little Owl, Lapwing, Buzzard and the regular 

      little Birds.

Piece Hall Peregrine

    Took a trip down to Piece Hall and seen this beauty although at a distance was still

     Great to see and the chicks seem to be doing well.

Long Eared-Owl in action

    Got lucky last night seeing the Long-Eared Owl hard at work, the wingspan is amazing.

Trip around Baildon Moor

   Nice morning walk around Baildon Moor, plenty to see until it started raining,

   Stonechats, Little Owl, Grey Partridge, Tree Sparrow, Lapwing, Roe Deer in the pics,

   also seen or heard were Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Cuckoo, Curlew, Pheasant, Skylark, Meadow Pipit,

   Whitethroat, Willow Warbler and regular birds.
 

Cuckoo Joy

   Great to see the Cuckoo while out on a walk yesterday though distant and very flighty,

    Willow Warblers were showing well and in abundance, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Little Owl,

   GS Woodpecker, Curlew, Meadow Pipit, Buzzard, Red Kite, Lapwing, Whitethroat were also seen.

Redstart at Ogden

  Great to see the Redstart showing well down at Ogden Water, I was

  well chuffed as its a first for me and what a beautiful little bird.

  

Black Redstart comes Local

       Nice to see the Black Redstart so close to home, thanks for a great tip off

       from DS and JL, Linnet, Goldfinch, Blue & Great Tit and House Sparrow

       also seen on a very short spell of birdwatching. 

 

Stonechat Day

  Local Walk today not expecting to see much but

  was quite surprised as it turned out not a bad day,

  started on Hag Lane where Buzzard was heard loudly

 and then later seen but at a distance,Rooks, Wrens, Dunnocks,

 and the regular birds were seen, then up to Ringby Lane,

 10 House Sparrows at bottom of lane, further up the hill were 

 2 Meadow Pipits and 20 yards further on the Stonechats were

 were buzzing about, 2 Sparrowhawks and a Kestrel were getting

 pestered by the crows, right at the top were 6 Linnet and an 

 unidentified, possible linnet but looked Bunting like. 2 Starling 

were also up there, then on the road home just a few Blue Tits.
