Took a stroll up to Soil Hill today but very quiet birdlife wise,
6 Wood Pigeon, 6 Meadow Pipit, 8 Gulls different types, 2 Swift
but their were some beautiful Butterflies knocking about, I then
decided to have a look down Taylor Lane where a Kestrel with
prey was seen in the field and a Meadow Pipit with a bad eye was
seen on the wall, at the bottom of the road were Swallow, Swift,
Goldfinch, a Dunnock collecting food and half a dozen Gulls
flying about, I then had ten mins up Ringby Lane but seen nothing,
only to receive a report of a Yellow Wagtail being seen up there, I
was gutted to say the least.

Busy Garden
Garden has been very busy this week with 20+ Goldfinch,
4 Chaffinch, 2 Greenfinch, 1 Bullfinch, 4 Collared Dove,
8+ Jackdaw, 3 Wood Pigeon, and lots of Magpies & Crows,
1 Large Gull soaring above the last couple of days, biggest
I've seen around these parts, Starlings one of which became
a victim to one of the 2 Sparrowhawk that have been visiting,
and 3 Roe Deer in the garden which are always nice to see.

Frogomania at Cromwell
Hi everyone I'm back after 2 months in the dark waiting for
my camera to be fixed, anyway I've finally got it back and
thought I'd give it a whirl down at Cromwell Bottom NR even
tho I'm a bit rusty at the moment, a family of 8 Goosanders were
the first birds to be seen on the river and then a family of 30
Canada geese came swimming along side them, bird viewing area
was quiet but the Bullfinch were still there in numbers, chiff chaff
were in good voice around the reserve and 4 Wren were seen near
the new pond and a Grey Wagtail was up by the weir, I then decided
to have a walk along the river bank and what a surprise that was, their
were millions of young frogs all along the path so had to turn around
as I didn't want to squash any, Ive never seen as many in my life it was
amazing.
Rodley Nature Reserve was my next outing on sunday but was
very quiet but at least the Kingfisher and a Red Kite made a show to
brighten up the day. Peregrine put on a display over Claremount, Saturday
