Ghost Town Reserve

I was all set up to go to Adel Dam for the day but then
changed my mind at the last minute and decided to go
Rodley NR instead with it only being open Wednesdays
during the week, but wished I'd stuck to my first choice
as it was like a ghost town for bird life at least compared
to what it usually has to offer, and what was on offer were
mostly miles away apart from Reed Bunting and LTT that
decided to give me and my mate Chris T a pose.

2 Grey Wagtails were seen dancing about on some logs under
the bridge before I decided to set off to the first hide hoping
to see some Sand Martins but sadly it wasn't to be, there were
just Canada's with a few Greylags geese, Coots and in the
distance were 5 Teal and lots of Gulls, Ive never known
Rodley to be so quiet, not even a Heron to be seen which is
unusual for this reserve, a Shoveller was asleep by the reeds
again a long way off, 8 to 10 Linnet were zooming about over
the meadow area, then up to the viewing area where Reed
Bunting showed well along with Blue Tit and a single
Greenfinch and a male Bullfinch paid a flash visit, I'd now
lost my mojo and set off back to the car where 2 Buzzards
were seen in the far distance and that was that.

Garden had Goldfinch, Mistle Thrush, Starling, Collared Doves,
Blackbird and way up high were 2 Buzzards doing a circular soar.
Oh I forgot there was also a single Cormorant on the Rodley lake.
